Connecting community gardeners and local food with residents and commuters.
grow
The Grow Light Rail System provides transport around Rowville via articulated trams that travel down the smaller suburban streets.  Community gardens dispersed throughout the suburb supply locals with fresh food, and the gardens are easily accessible from the tram network.  On-board compost bins, seed dispensers and weighing scales for harvest-swapping mean allow the community to connect to its fresh food supply, whether through active participation or simply sharing the transport system.  Vertical gardens inside the trams are living advertisements for the presence of local food-growing and green spaces in the suburb.
