The EBD Site

What might life be like in EBD in 2032?  The Overarching Characteristics provide the starting point, or, the basic assumptions that inform the design development that followed.  The Newsletter allows a more intimate glimpse of ways of living and working in this new EcoCity.

Together, these documents formed the VEIL overall brief that was given to the students in participating studios.

The site known as E-Gate is owned by government railway body VicTrack, and is to become available for development by 2015.   It is the last remaining large-scale vacant land 2km from Melbourne's city centre.
